Anniversary Gifts
Anniversaries are sometimes celebrated with the giving of gifts associated with the number of years the couple have been together.
For example, a Silver Anniversary marks 25 years together and a Golden Wedding Anniversary, 50 years. Crystal is often associated with the 15th anniversary, Pearl the 30th and Ruby the 40th. The Diamond Anniversary used to celebrate 75 years, although when Queen Victoria celebrated her 60th year on the British throne this was called her Diamond Jubilee and hence diamond is also associated with sixty years. Both traditional and modern extensions of these milestones have been created to mark other years, and although most couples won’t be held to these conventions, they can provide ideas and inspirations for celebrations.
